Dr. Ray Bonomo
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago but went to the University of Kansas for my undergraduate degree. After college I attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where I received my D.M.D. degree. I returned to Chicago for my residence program at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC). I completed the 3 year periodontal residency program in 2001 and moved to Cincinnati to start my private practice.
I maintain active membership in several professional organizations listed below, but I am most proud of my position as periodontal faculty at the University of Cincinnati's Advanced Education General Dentistry residency.
- American Dental Association
- American Academy Of Periodontology
- Ohio Dental Association, Cincinnati Dental Society
- Keely Dental Society
- Academy of Osseointegration and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
My private practice is focused on the treatment of the degenerative disease known as periodontitis or "gum disease," and the replacement of lost teeth with dental implants. While this constitutes much of what I do, I am not limited strictly to these procedures. I routinely treat recession, perform periodontal plastic surgery procedures, expose unerupted teeth for orthodontic treatment, extract teeth and regenerate lost bone structures.
What I like most about this specialty is that it requires an attention to detail, a surgical finesse, and a broad knowledge of all the disciplines in dentistry, not to mention a strong repoire with the general dentist and the patient. Without these qualities a successful outcome to any treatment is diminished.
I began working with Dr. Bonomo in 2002 after relocating to Cincinnati from Pittsburgh. Prior to working with Dr. Bonomo I was a Store Manager at Caché, and worked as a flight attendant for U.S. Airways. My husband Billy and I have been happily married for 5 years and I just recently (after several years of trying) gave birth to twin girls, Sydney and Peyton. They are the greatest joy in my life!
Dr. Bonomo and I have been working diligently to assemble a truly extraordinary team of people. With a collective 60 years of dental experience. They are highly trained and well organized group who go the extra mile for our patients. I am very proud to be an integral part of this office and look forward to many years to come.
I am one of Dr. Bonomo's dental assistants. I'm 23-years-old and I was born and raised here in Cincinnati. I grew up in Glendale and graduated from Princeton High School. I received a diploma from The Institute of Medical and Dental Technology in 2005 for Dental Assisting. I am also licensed in Dental Radiology.
I worked at a family dentistry practice for about 2 years before joining Dr. Bonomo's team. I really enjoy working in the field of dental surgery and making a difference in people's health. I'd like to continue working for Dr. Bonomo as long as possible, and create a pleasant experience for each patient we see!
